I'm sorry to say that I've been kind of MIA lately. The truth is, I was feeling a little under the weather last week and finding the energy to blog just wasn't going to happen. The good news is, I'm feeling much better and I'm back to my old self! The timing couldn't be better, just in time for our first dose of warm spring weather! With spring comes my first chance to show some skin! I can't remember the last time I wore a pair of shorts and it feels good to know that summer is almost here! For all of us here in the Northeast, it can't come fast enough!

That's right! It's Outfitted 411's one year anniversary!! It's hard to believe that it was one year ago today that I decided to take the plunge and start my own blog. I think it took a lot of courage to put myself out there for all to see, and as it turned out, most people seemed to really like what I've been doing! Over this last year I've learned a lot. I've become a self taught photographer and website expert, almost! I particularly love the last photo in today's post because it's a look into how all of this happens. Almost every outfit photo on this blog has been taken by myself with the help of my tripod. That's how the magic happens! Most importantly, I now have a hobby that is all my own and that I truly find inspiring. I can't thank my friends and family enough for all of their love and support as I dove into this endeavor. Also I have to thank all of my followers, both on the blog and on all my social media, for following along, hitting "like" and leaving so many wonderful comments! Everyone's positive feedback is what keeps me going and keeps me inspired! Here's to many more years of fashion and fun to come!

This is another bright spring blazer that I've had in my wardrobe for probably close to 10 years now! This classically shaped H&M blazer proves that a well made piece of clothing can live a long life in your wardrobe and can really stand the test of time! Don't be afraid to spend a little extra on a classic piece like this. A well made blazer or little black dress will never go out of style and they will end up paying for themselves in the long run! What's the best way to make black and white stripes pop? With a pop of color of course! Anything goes, so pick your favorite accent color and run with it! I've been favoring this royal blue color lately, plus it gives me a chance to show off this amazing new necklace from Nordstrom, a surprise gift from my adorable husband! This versatile dress from Kohl's might look a little familiar. I bought the same dress in blue and recently wore it on the blog! Sometimes I just can't help myself! If a piece looks and fits just right, what's the harm in buying it in two colors? No guilty feelings here though, because this is the type of dress you can dress up or down and the price was right!

How great is this pleated back mixed media top from Kohl's?! I love a top with a surprise in back that's just as much fun going as it is coming. The bright coral color and the light airy feel make this top perfect for spring. I added in a pop of yellow in the clutch to brighten up the look even more!
