It's hard to believe that this little hobby of mine is now 4 years old! After 543 blog posts, over 200,000 pageviews and thousands of photos taken (most of which ended up on the cutting room floor), I'm happy to say that I still truly love what I do! Thank you to everyone for following along and for all the love and support! This has been the most fun adventure for me and looking forward, I can't wait for what's to come!

Keeping Warm...

Deciding on an outfit this time of year in CT can be difficult. We've just transitioned from a week of almost spring like weather right back to frigid temperatures! Wearing a dress in this cold weather can be tricky. The best way to not completely freeze, is to style a long sleeve dress with tights and over-the-knee boots. This way, you still get the fun look of showing off some leg while still managing to stay warm!

Sweater Dress Cinched...

What I'm wearing...black sweater dress: Target, leopard print belt: Target, leopard print heels: Charlotte Russe (similar), gold clutch: Michael Kors 

This new sweater dress from Target is so comfortable! I added a belt to cinch it in at the waist and give me a little more shape. I dressed up this look with a little leopard print and my gold clutch, but you can also dress this down with a pair of tights and some flat boots for a more cozy look.

Edgy Midi...

I wore this look out for my birthday dinner, which ok...was about a month ago now! Sorry guys, I'm just now getting around to editing and uploading the pics! I was looking for a simple body con midi and when I walked into Charlotte Russe, that's exactly what I got! You can't beat the price either my friends! I edged up the look a little with my faux leather jacket and black accessories. Happy Monday everyone!!

Light Layering...

Light layers are the way to go this time of year when it's cold in the mornings and then warms up by the afternoon. A long sleeveless sweater vest is the perfect layering piece. It can be worn with any sleeve length underneath depending on the weather. Also, black and brown can actually go really well together especially when you add in a pop of leopard print to tie it all together!

Pop of Print...

A fun way to add a little pop to a plain denim shirt dress is to add a little pattern! The small pops of leopard print in the belt and shoes really help to elevate this look. I finished off the look with gold accents for a little sparkle. I also love how the open back adds even more interest to this plain dress!

How sexy is this little striped wrap dress?! It's absolutely perfect for a little Friday night date night! I'm convinced that every body type looks great in a wrap dress. The only thing better than how cute I feel in this dress, is the price!

Embroidered...

I was immediately drawn to the embroidery detail on the front of this dress as soon as I walked into the store! This is such a light flowy dress for summer with just the right amount of detail to dress it up!

Casual Vibes...

With the recent heat wave we've been having here in CT, light weight summer dresses like this have been my day time go to! There's no thought involved in the morning, you just throw it on and go. Plus it keeps me nice and cool while I'm out and about all day running errands with the kids. Kohl's had a great selection of these casual day time dresses, so it's not a bad idea to stock up!
