Happy Friday everyone! Who's excited for the weekend?! How great is this new top from Free People?! For those of you who have been following along for a while, you know how much I love an open back top! It's a great way to show off some skin without being too sexy. You can add on a leather jacket and wear this top now, or pair it with a short skirt and sandals for summer. It's so versatile and flattering!

Deciding on an outfit this time of year in CT can be difficult. We've just transitioned from a week of almost spring like weather right back to frigid temperatures! Wearing a dress in this cold weather can be tricky. The best way to not completely freeze, is to style a long sleeve dress with tights and over-the-knee boots. This way, you still get the fun look of showing off some leg while still managing to stay warm!

I'm completley obsessed with this new long line cardigan from H&M! It's a new twist on an old classic. It is so cozy and warm! It feels a bit like wearing my fuzzy bath robe, only it's socially acceptable to wear this cardigan in public! This cardigan in particular is very long and I didn't want it to overwhelm my short frame, so I paired it with some pretty tall heels.

Cool Weather Casual...

I'm pretty sure this is the unofficial New England girl cool weather uniform. Here in CT we've been having a few 45 degree sunny days in a row, which is too warm for a heavy coat but too cool for nothing at all. Enter the puffy vest! It's the perfect layering piece for cooler days. Wear the vest with a pair of flat riding boots and you've got yourself a cute but casual look!

Happy first day of winter! I don't know about you guys but I still have some last minute Christmas shopping to do! Only 4 days left! I usually save all of my wrapping for Christmas Eve, but I'm trying to get a jump on it this year and start early. This is definitely the busiest time of year, and even though I love it, I'm looking forward to the new year when things start to quiet down!

I can't tell you enough just how comfortable this long cardigan is! You guys, it feels like I'm wearing a bath robe in public, yet somehow it's socially acceptable. Really, I feel like I'm getting away with something! If you don't have one of these babies in your wardrobe yet, I would seriously think about making it your next addition! It's the perfect layering piece and it instantly elevates any look!

I just love the split side detail and how flowy and comfortable it is! A cozy outfit like this is perfect for running errands and getting my Christmas shopping started. I'm feeling really behind this year! I haven't even ordered my Christmas cards yet you guys! I know, I know...enough with the open back tops already! Sorry guys but I just love this trend so much I couldn't resist! This is the last one, I promise...maybe! Besides, things in CT just got really cold really quick so it's time to start transitioning into those cozy sweaters and coats that I've been storing away! I, for one, am not a huge fan of winter but I am a fan of the total wardrobe change!!

I wore this great little swing dress on vacation with a pair of flip flops. Now I'm back in CT where the temperatures are a little cooler, so I thought I would pair this dress with a cute pair of booties! Swing dresses like this are a really light and easy piece that can be dressed up or down, and they can take you from spring right into summer!
