Double Duty...

What I'm wearing...dress: Jennifer Lopez, heels: Christian Louboutin (similar), bag: Charming Charlie (available in other colors), watch: Anne Klein (similar), sunnies: Lauren Conrad (similar)

Today's dress is yet another example of how ruching is a pregnant gals best friend. This super comfortable Jennifer Lopez dress for Kohl's isn't maternity, but right now, it's pulling double duty! I love the idea of being able to purchase something that I can wear now in this stage of my pregnancy, and still be able to wear  later when my pregnancy is over.

Max Comfort...

What I'm wearing...maxi dress: Lauren Conrad (Kohl's), wedges: See by Chloe (similar), watch: Michele

A comfortable summer maxi? Yes please! Pants of any kind are pretty much my least favorite article of clothing at this point.  Just a quick hello today! I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Cold Shoulder...

What I'm wearing...top: Forever 21, denim: Simply Vera Wang (similar), heels: Forever 21 (similar), leopard clutch: Forever 21, necklace: Target, bracelet: Target, watch: Anne Klein (similar)

Side ruching of any kind is a pregnant woman's best friend! This top from Forever 21 isn't a maternity top but still fits perfectly because of the side ruching! Tops like this that you may already have in your wardrobe are perfect for extending the scope of your maternity wear! At this stage in the game, it's all about finding what fits!

Simple Sundress...

What I'm wearing...sundress: Kohl's (similar), heels: Charlotte Russe (similar), watch: Anne Klein (similar), necklace: Lia Sophia, gold bracelet: Kohl's (similar)

There's nothing easier than a simple sundress for summer! They are light weight and comfortable, and you can just through one on and go! There's no matching or pairing involved, the sundress is just a one piece look that makes getting dressed in the morning a breeze! My wardrobe is filled with little numbers like this and they are sure to be in heavy rotation this summer!

Blue is for Baby Boys!

What I'm wearing...dress: Mossimo (Target), heels: Charlotte Russe (similar), necklace: Lia Sophia, watch: Anne Klein (similar)

Yep! That's right! We are so happy to announce that we are expecting a little BOY!! I have to say, it came as quite a shock! For some reason I always thought I would have all girls. For the last three and a half years our house has been all pink and princesses, so this is going to be a big change for us! I'm looking forward to redecorating the nursery and creating a new "big girl" room for my daughter. There is a lot more blue in our future and we couldn't be more excited about it! Only more good things to come!

Pink & Purple...

What I'm wearing...denim: Elle (Kohl's) (similar), top: So (Kohl's), heels: Forever 21 (similar), white clutch: Charming Charlie, necklace: Burlington Coat Factory, watch: Michele

Flowy tops and skinny jeans are quickly becoming a staple at this stage of my pregnancy. No these aren't maternity jeans, and no, they aren't buttoned! I'll have to show you my elastic hair tie extender trick in an upcoming post! It's a great way to add a much needed two or three inches of stretch to this ever growing waist line! It also allows you to continue to wear your regular jeans further into your pregnancy! Stay tuned for more details!

Making it Work...

What I'm wearing...midi dress: c/o Charlotte Russe (similar), wrap sweater: Victoria's Secret, heels: Sam & Libby (Target), leopard clutch: Forever 21 (similar), necklace: Charlotte Russe (similar)

This comfortable cotton midi dress is perfect for my growing belly bump. The material has just enough stretch, and the need for additional coverage is satisfied by the extra length. It's important to me to try to find pieces already in my wardrobe that will still work well into my pregnancy. The same goes for any new pieces that I purchase in the next couple months. Maternity clothes are expensive and very temporary. This is why I try to find non-maternity  items that will work both during and after my pregnancy.

Citrus Refresh...

What I'm wearing...cropped denim: Simply Vera Wang (similar), top: Asos, heels: Charlotte Russe (similar), yellow clutch: Apt. 9 (Kohl's), necklace: Lia Sophia, yellow bracelet: Kohl's

I'm hiding the bump today with some bright citrus colors! While it's fun to wear something form fitting that shows off my growing belly, it's also a comfortable relief to wear something more flowy every once and a while. I always find that pairing a fuller top with a skinny jean makes for just the right proportion. It's good to balance out this type of top with a slimmer bottom. Let's face it, us pregnant ladies don't want to look any bigger than we already feel!

Lace Maxi...

What I'm wearing...dress: Charlotte Russe, heels: Charlotte Russe, bag: Coach, watch: c/o Charlotte Russe (similar), bracelet: Apt. 9 (Kohl's)

For me, a growing belly throughout the summer equals lots of flowy maxi dresses! This new lace racer back dress from Charlotte Russe will fit perfectly into my summer wardrobe! Pair this dress with heels or flat sandals, or add on a jean jacket to keep warm on those chilly summer nights. I'm also loving these new stacked heel sandals. The thicker heel provides extra support as my balance starts to shift! I hope you're all out enjoying this beautiful weekend!
