With the recent heat wave we've been having here in CT, light weight summer dresses like this have been my day time go to! There's no thought involved in the morning, you just throw it on and go. Plus it keeps me nice and cool while I'm out and about all day running errands with the kids. Kohl's had a great selection of these casual day time dresses, so it's not a bad idea to stock up!

As much as I would love to dress up in heels and fancy clothes every day of the week, the reality is, I'm a stay at home mom. Today's post is a better reflection of my day-to-day look when I'm home with the kids. A cute pair of flats is a must for running errands and on the go! I own so many button down shirts and wear them often during the week, because they are easy and comfortable and can instantly make you look polished. This new light weight button down from Kohl's is perfect for these warmer spring days!

Yay! I finally found a super cute romper that I actually feel good in! When it comes to rompers, it can be really hard to find the right fit, that's why it's so important to always try them on first. I love the tropical print on this romper and how the adjustable drawstring really accentuates my waist. Plus, how cute are these ankle tie sandals from Forever 21?! I love a whole outfit that's both cute and affordable!

A fitted button down, with jeans and a pair of tailored loafers, is a great way to go casual but still look polished. I can run errands all day in these shoes! (Yes, I loved them so much that I bought them in silver AND black!)

I'm totally obsessed with these new shiny silver loafers from Forever 21, so obsessed that I may have just bought them in black as well! At such a great price, I couldn't resist! Colorfully Comfortable...

The truth is, most days I'm not wearing heels, I'm wearing flats. Everyday tasks like dropping my daughter off at school or going to the grocery store require comfortable footwear! Now this doesn't mean that athletic sneakers and UGG boots are always acceptable, not in my opinion anyways! A great pair of ballet flats or flat sandals can really elevate your look without sacrificing comfort. They're also a great way to keep you looking polished throughout the day!
