There's a heat wave here in CT this weekend! What better to wear on a hot evening than a super hot pair of shorts?! Neon is back in a big way and I think it's best served in small doses! Pair your neon with some basic neutrals and you'll be sure to heat up the night! TGIF!

Minted Monochrome...

Here is another example of monochrome done right! I just can't get enough mint this spring and this outfit gives you a double dose! In this look, the print in the blouse and the turquoise jewelry break up the all over mint color, giving the outfit more visual interest. Happy Thursday!

I recently rediscovered this jean skirt in the back of my closet! I think the denim skirt is definitely still a summer staple. You can dress it up the way I did here, or dress it down with a bathing suit and flip flops on the beach. Either way, this skirt is sure to take you from day to night!

I just picked up this blazer at TJ Maxx for only $25! I was first attracted to the fun polka dot pattern, but then I was sold by the fit and the price! Just add this one to my growing collection of blazers! I still say that blazers are the easiest way to a perfectly polished look!

Memorial Day White Out...

What I'm wearing...white lace skirt: H&M, blouse: Old Navy, heels: Jennifer Lopez (Khols), watch: Michael Kors

When you're at a loss for what to wear, monochrome is always both easy and fashion forward. Here, I chose to go all white in honor of Memorial Day, but feel free to pick your favorite color and run with it! The only rule when wearing a monochromatic outfit, make sure to add in some pattern or texture to make sure the outfit doesn't fall flat, like I did here with the lace skirt. Also, try putting together different shades of the same color to achieve the same affect! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend!
